Kristen Parkes is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan. Kristen received her Bachelor's degree from Penn State in 2015 and her Master's from Drexel University in 2021. Prior to obtaining her MSN, Kristen worked as a nurse in both acute care and behavioral health pediatrics for 7 years at hospitals in the Philadelphia and Wilmington areas. Since then, Kristen has continued to work closely with patients and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings offering compassionate psychiatric care when families need it most.  Kristen is passionate about addressing immediate psychiatric concerns, while also considering broader aspects of well-being including social, emotional, and physical factors. By fostering a therapeutic alliance, Kristen creates a safe space for open communication while actively involving patients in their care decisions. Kristen was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, and when she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling to the Jersey Shore and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams.
