Many people cope with difficult emotions by applying quick fixes, hoping to keep turmoil at bay. However, our bodies and minds often require deeper attention and might signal distress through more concerning experiences like panic attacks, impulsivity, or dissociation. As a licensed master social worker, Wren specializes in helping clients uncover and address underlying issues, fostering healthier patterns for a more fulfilling life.
Wren is dedicated to guiding clients toward inner peace and joy through compassionate therapy. Prior to working at Alapocas Collaborative Care, Wren worked in inpatient psychiatry where she treated adults 18+ with a variety of conditions. She also has experience working with children ages 4+ in the school setting. Wren employs evidence-based techniques to enhance attachment security, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation. She will soon be DBT-certified, while a variety of evidence-based methods like CBT, attachment theory, EFIT, and IFS also inform her therapeutic approach. Always curious, Wren sees herself as a forever student and is consistently eager to expand her understanding of the human experience. An avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction literature, she is committed to lifelong learning.
Wren earned her Master of Social Work at Binghamton University and her B.A. at Ithaca College. She is licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York. She anticipates completing clinical licensure (LCSW) in 2025.
