Zachary is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, treating clients of all ages across the lifespan. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his undergraduate degrees in Nursing at the Community College of Baltimore County and Stevenson University, respectively. Before his nursing career, Zach spent five years in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in communication and search and rescue. He has over 15 years of experience working directly with patients. After many years in cardiac surgery, he transitioned to the emergency room, where he discovered his passion for psychiatry. Since then, he has worked in various psychiatric emergency and inpatient units, caring for patients of all ages and addressing a wide range of psychiatric disorders.  Some years were focused exclusively on child and adolescent patients at a renowned local children’s hospital, managing numerous cases involving disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.  

 

Most recently, Zach has been seeing clients of all ages on an out-patient basis and collaborating with his therapist colleagues to provide the collaborative treatment team-approach that best supports his clients and families.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Zach returned to the East Coast area after living in California and Japan to give back to the local community. In his free time, he enjoys football (soccer) and supports Manchester City.​
